London Big Ben and Westminster Bridge

London is one of the most visited city in the world. This city is so famous, historical and so modern at the same time. In fact, there are so many things to see and do in London so the “Top 10 Best things to do in London is unfair! It would be more accurate to do a list of 101 things for London. As London one of best city ever.  On the other hand, we usually go on holiday because we have limited number of days to relax so I just wanted to share my favourites.

My trip to London turned out to be the most marvellous experience I’ve ever seen, but I went to the hotel and turned into a marvellous sightseeing and making a wild thing. I walked 15 miles a day, and every evening I was able to lose a thousand pounds of tonnes of food and drink.

As soon as I got London, I felt like I was in the capital of the great empire. England has saved a great splendour, culture, wealth and brain for centuries. A beautiful synthesis of the new and the old, the past and the future appeared. On the one hand, people live in creaking historical houses, while they build a system to eat at these houses with drones, and to shop for groceries. They have built a great balance between tradition and future.

London View

London is one of the most important few summits in the world but New York is not as modern, never as artificial as a New York. However, in London, Paris is so rooted and noble but never in Paris, never minds like hair from the nose. London is as regulative as Singapore, but never as sterile as Singapore, but is never as authoritarian as a Frankfurt but never authoritarian. Compared to other world capitals, our biggest flaw is the grey air and the price of the bank account.

Indeed, London is a very important centre in many respects both in history and nowadays in terms of political, economic, social, cultural, educational, transportation and more. Today it is the most populous city of the United Kingdom and the European Union with a population of 8.5 million. Therefore, choosing London as your travel route will not take much of your time. So, what can you do when you go to London? In response to this question, you can perform these 10 wonderful activities.

1. Tower Bridge

Tower bridge is one of the best things to see in London.

Tower Bridge is the first place you prefer to see in London. The bridge was completed in 1894 and since then it has been an iconic building identified with London. The Bridge on the River Thames consists of two towers connected by two flat walkways at the upper and lower level. You can see the most beautiful views of London from the bridge with pedestrian crossing.

2. Westminster Palace and Big Ben

The building known as the Parliament House is one of the most familiar faces in London. The building is home to the British Parliament, which consists of the House of Commons and the House of Lords. The palace next to the River Thames still contains Big Ben with the main bell tower, which is at least as iconic and symbolic as the building itself.

3. London Eye

The London Eye, a giant Ferris wheel built in 1999, has soon become one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. With its colossal structure, the Ferris wheel, which has an original place in the city’s horizon, invites over three million visitors a year to a 30-minute tour of London. The London Eye is perhaps not the highest point in London (Shard Building), but I think it should definitely be experienced.

Above all, you are looking at the city with people from various nationalities in a capsule that will be comfortable even for those with fear of heights. What’s more, its location is so great that you can see Big Ben, Westminster Abbey on the one hand, London Bridge on the other and all the business buildings from above.

London Eye tickets are 20 pounds per person. It opens at 10:00 in the morning and I recommend you to go on weekdays and early hours in order not to wait in the cold.

Let’s give a London Eye rumour when it comes to it; It was the last fashion to close a capsule and propose to 500 pounds!

4. Trafalgar Square

The largest square in London, Trafalgar is considered the heart of the city. The area has been a central meeting place since the middle Ages. The square took its name from a naval war that was victorious in 1812. The column in the square was named after the famous admiral Nelson who lost his life in this war. On the north side is the famous National Gallery.

5. Hyde Park

Hyde park is very populer in London and is one of the best park in the world.

Hyde Park is the largest of the Royal Parks in London. It covers an area of 150 hectares with the adjacent Kensington Gardens. One of the best examples of the city parks, London is the place for the Londoners to relax and participate in concerts. There is also a corner where everyone can say his opinion (Speaker’s Corner).

Come and enjoy such a beautiful green, huge, bicycle & horseback riding, where squirrels are climbing on you and the swan is eating apples from your hand.

6. Museums

London is a city rich in museums. The British Museum, with its ancient works of art and ethnography collections brought from all over the world. The Museum of Science, Tate Modern, and the Science Museum, where scientific products are shown, are waiting for their visitors with the advantages of being free. For instance, The National Gallery is a museum with a million dollar works of art. Moreover, you must see the centre of Trafalgar Square. You can complete two important points with a single visit here

7. West End Shows

The legendary musicals and theatres in the West End are an excellent alternative to the activities in London. Especially the legendary Lion King, the Phantom in the Opera, Mamma Mia, Les Miserables must be visited at least once and they should be seen. One of London’s most important events is the musicals in stylish buildings. Therefor, every evening there are more than 10 options. My preference was in “Phantom of the Opera”. One was Covent Garden and the other was on Piccadilly’s side.

Tip for musical tickets: find the cheapest musical tickets at musical ticket outlets at Leicester Street

8. Soho

When it comes to nightlife, Soho is known as the entertainment centre of London. With its bars, pubs, excellent restaurants, lively surroundings and streets blending different cultures, Soho has an irresistible charm.

In the other words, China Town + Soho – Piccadilly = Fun. Evening dining venues, bars, musicals and China Town are always around this. When you walk down the subway and walk a little bit, you can go to the restaurants in China Town where you can experience very nice Chinese, Thai or Sushi / Japanese cuisine. After the meal, the Soho region is within walking distance and there are plenty of bars in this area.

9. Buckingham Palace

The palace, the White House of the United Kingdom, is the official address of the British Royal since 1837, following the throne of Queen Victoria. In fact, in 1702, the Duke of Buckingham built it as a mansion in London, but over time it was changed and expanded to become a royal residence. When Queen Albert the Queen died in 1861, the queen began to mourn and relinquished her earthly pleasures and moved to Windsor Castle. For a while, the palace remains empty, but in 1901 King Edward revives the palace again.

In addition, the famous balcony, in which the royal family greeted the people, was added in 1914 during the reign of King George 5. George. In World War I, the inhabitants of the palace were forced to flee by King George and Queen Mary. During the Second World War, the palace was bombarded 9 times. The biggest loss in these bombings is given in the chapel of the palace. Even during a bombing Queen Elizabeth was at the palace at that time.

10. Windsor Castle

Windsor Castle is very historical place to visit and experince the history.

The Castle of Windsor, more than 900 years old, is now the world’s oldest and largest in use castle. Even today, it is one of the UK’s official accommodations. It is the favourite residence of Queen Elizabeth, especially at weekends. The chateau is located in Windsor, Berkshire, about 20 kilometres from the capital, London. The most famous dollhouse in the world, like Queen Mary  dollhouse, chapel, government offices, such as tours can be visited.

The palace is only open to visitors during the summer season, and the Queen’s Gallery features royal items and rooms. Of course, this place is the Queen’s official residence because most of the palace is closed to visit. For those outside of this period, it is also a must for London to look at the palace from the outside and watch the famous military change. In the next article.

I just fell in love with Camden. So energetic, so colourful, with different culinary, stylish people, the river is a super place to eat and sit on the engine bins against the rooftop motor We really spent the whole day walking through Camden Town twice. If you go for a very short holiday, you must visit Camden Town directly from Notting Hill subway.

In addition to these attractions, you can also go to Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square, just for pedestrians, eat at the restaurants in Covent Garden and join a music concert at the Royal Albert Hall or O2 arena. In addition, you can have an interesting time with Madame Tussauds, where the celebrities have real-life sculptures from wax, and see how the Sea Life London Aquarium full of interesting sea creatures and the Harry Potter film at Warner Bros.
